Donegal County Council is seeking to secure funding for more public lighting between Ballyraine Roundabout and the Oatfield Roundabout.
The issue was at a Letterkenny Milford Municipal District Meeting by Cllr Jimmy Kavanagh, who was told that the Active Travel program for Letterkenny Town includes a scheme on the Ballyraine Road, with planning already in place.
Lighting provision will be reviewed as part of the detail design stage for that scheme.
Cllr Kavanagh says with no lights on the left hand side of the road, there are safety issues to be considered now……..
