Taoiseach Micheál Martin will discuss the crisis in the Middle East at a meeting of EU leaders in Brussels.
The war in Ukraine and the EU’s internal security are also on the agenda for the European Council meeting.
The Taoiseach says he will “lead efforts to ensure the Council remains fully focused on Gaza” – after yesterday describing the inability of member states to come to a unified position on Israel as “a stain” on the EU.
