Donegal County Council is being urged to declare a housing emergency.
Councillor Denis McGee made the call given the low availability of housing in the county and the defective block crisis that is estimated to affect 30,000 homes.
The local authority has agreed to seek a formal delegation to meet with the Housing Minister to raise the issues directly with him.
Councillor McGee says the Council needs to do what is required given the urgency of the housing crisis in Donegal…………….
