Gardai in Donegal are warning about the circulation of counterfeit Bank of England £20 notes in Letterkenny.
They are urging business owners in particular to be vigilant and always check notes thoroughly at points of payment.
It’s understood similar fraudulent notes were in circulation in Buncrana in recent weeks where the foil patch with a 3D image of the Coronation Crown is located on the top left side peels off to reveal the wording ‘prop money’.
