
The construction industry wants to see VAT reduced for the sector as part of Budget 2026.
Officials from the Construction Industry Federation will discuss the Government’s housing objectives with the Finance and Public Expenditure Ministers later.
The sector is set to fall short of its target of 41 thousand homes this year, with around 34 thousand units more likely, wiuth concerns about capacity also being expressed in Donegal because of the number of defective block homes in need of demolition and remediation.
