Drivers are being reminded to ensure their cars are locked while unattended.
It comes following the theft of cash from an unlocked car in Letterkenny between 3 pm on Tuesday last and noon the following day.
The car was in a carpark at a medical centre on the Pearse Road.
Motorists are also asked not to leave valuables or cash in their cars, especially within view.
