Foyle MP Colum Eastwood has ruled himself out of the race for the Áras.
The BBC reports that the former SDLP Leader had considered entering his name in the ring, but ultimately has not, concluding it is not the right time for him.
Earlier in the summer, the MP said he had concerns that Irish unity was not a focal point for other potential candidates.
