
Despite County Donegal recording 714 water outages to date this year, the fourth highest number in Ireland, only 6km of water pipes are planned to be replaced in 2026.
The figures were revealed yesterday to Cllr Fionán Bradley, who submitted the question ahead of a meeting with Uisce Eireann last week.
He said he had hoped to be told the answer at the meeting, rather than a number of days after it had happened.
Last year, the total number of outages equated to 1670, with Inishowen accounting for 28% of them.
