The security alert in Omagh has ended, with police calling it an elaborate hoax.
A suspicious object was found in the early hours of this morning, leading to the evacuation of local residents.
Ammunition Technical Officers attended and examined the device, which has now been taken away for further forensic testing.
Police are appealing for more information.
