Over 45% of older people living alone would have been at risk of poverty last year without cost-of-living supports.
That’s according to ALONE, who are asking the Government to help pensioners deal with the energy cost crisis this winter.
It’s expected there will be no energy credits in the Budget next month even as many electricity companies have raised their prices twice this year.
