3 tonnes of litter collected from Donegal beaches

An estimated 3 tonnes of marine litter was collected by over 500 volunteers during this year’s Big Beach Clean.

Nationally, around 60 tonnes of litter was removed from coastlines by nearly 11,000 volunteers.

Organisers say the effort is helping to protect marine life and keep shorelines cleaner year on year.
