The government intends to increase the minimum rates of pay for childcare workers.
About 35 thousand employees will see their lowest hourly rates of pay rise by an average of 10 per cent.
The new Employment Order will take effect on October 13th.
Government estimates suggest about two thirds of childcare workers will see their pay increase.
