Workforce plan submitted to NPWS to facilitate full reopening of Glenveagh Castle

A workforce plan has been submitted to the National Parks and Wildlife Service with a view towards fully reopening Glenveagh Castle.

Castle tours have not been operating on Mondays and Fridays for a number of months now due to staff shortages.

Dr Emmet Johnson, Regional Manager of Glenveagh National Park, National Parks and Wildlife Service, confirmed on today’s Nine til Noon Show that 14 vacancies need to be filled.

However, he says the recruitment process is lengthy:
