Long-awaited road safety works are due to commence on the Raphoe to Convoy road in the coming days.
Councillor Patrick McGowan, Cathaoirleach of the Lifford Stranorlar Municipal District, has welcomed the allocation of €170,000 for the works, which will see the construction of a crash barrier on the R236 Burnside Scheme.
Works will start tomorrow and are scheduled to be completed by October 31st.
