In light of the heavy fog and poor visibility this morning, Gardaí in Donegal are urging the public to be familiar with their front and rear fog lights.
Drivers should be aware of how to switch them on and off, and only use them when it is appropriate.
Road users are also told to beware of other drivers not using their headlights, keep a larger distance from the vehicle ahead, and maintain a safe stopping distance within their visibility range.
