Pre-construction works have begun on the 58MW Drumnahough Wind Farm.
Full construction is due to begin in the coming weeks.
The wind farm will be located 13km outside Letterkenny and represents a €120 million investment from SSE and FuturEnergy Ireland.
The project will consist of 12 wind turbines, along with an associated substation and access roads.
It is located close to the Lenalea Wind Farm, which began operating in late 2023.
