The Dail is hearing calls to tackle rising energy costs before the height of winter.
Sinn Fein says the growing number of households in arrears on their energy bills is ‘a flashing warning light’.
It follows an Oireachtas Committee on Housing earlier this week, which revealed over 550,000 households are living in fuel poverty.
