
PSNI and An Garda Síochána came together today at Bridge End to appeal to road users to stay safe over the Christmas period.
The initiative is now one week in and will run until January 5th.
An emphasis is being placed on what the PSNI call the “fatal five,” and what gardaí refer to as the four “lifesaver” road offences.
These include driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, using a mobile phone while driving, speeding, and failing to wear a seatbelt.
So far this year, 168 people have died on Irish roads, 10 of whom were in Co. Donegal.
