Investigations are continuing into an early morning fire at a property in Letterkenny. The blaze broke out at 5am at what is understood to be a derelict property in the Lismonaghan area. No injuries were reported but Gardai have confirmed investigations are ongoing.

The fire service is currently dealing with a fire in Letterkenny. It’s understood the blaze broke out at around 7am this morning in the Pearse Road area at what is known locally as the old bacon factory site. Gardai are also at the scene. No further details are known at this time.

Repairs to a burst water main are ongoing in South Inishowen. Uisce Eireann is advising that works may cause supply disruptions to Burnfoot, Bardstown and surrounding areas. Works are scheduled to take place until 2pm this afternoon.
