39,561 new Covid cases confirmed

  39,561 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed over the past three days. There are 11,729 confirmed today, and figures for the weekend have also just been released. 15,460 cases were confirmed on Saturday, along with 12,372 on Sunday. 1,624 Covid patients are hospitalised, of whom 54 are in ICU.

Fall in number of Covid patients at LUH

  The number of people in hospital with Covid-19 has doubled in the past three weeks. Today the figure stands at 1,624 – the highest in over 14 months. Three weeks ago, the number was only 808. Latest figures show that there were 60 Covid patients being treated on site in Letterkenny University Hospital.
