8,815 additional cases of Covid-19 confirmed

8,815 additional cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed today. The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has been notified of 4,160 PCR-confirmed cases of COVID-19. In addition, 4,655 people registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal. As of 8am today, 635 patients with the virus are hospitalised, of whom 63 are in ICU.
