Tyrone win Division 3a National Hurling Championship

Tyrone won Division 3a of the National Hurling League on Saturday afternoon after they beat Armagh 2-21 to 2-19 in Owenbeg. Damien Casey and CJ McCourty both raised the green flags for the Red Hands to help them clinch the title. With the win Tyrone are now into Division 2b for next year.

Oisin Orr claims Leopardstown win

Oisin Orr was among the winners in Leopardstown on Saturday afternoon. The Donegal jockey was first past the post on board the 8/1 shot Hotel Wren for trainer Noel Meade. The win is Orr’s second in the past week.

Late Akintunde header earns Derry victory over Bohs

A late James Akintunde goal earned Derry City another late victory, this time it was away at Bohemians. Liam Burt gave Bohs the lead on 26 minutes before Ramelton man Ronan Boyce levelled up the tie. Akintunde then headed home in added time to give the Canystripes a 2-1 victory.
